Hip-hop is the best way for your kid to explore their creativity and get their body moving. We want your child to have a fun, energetic, and safe dancing experience. That’s precisely why we’ve introduced a special Hippity-Hop class for dancers in the three to five age group. In this class, they’ll learn rhythms, body movements, and simple choreography while exploring their creativity and enhancing their strength, flexibility, and coordination. Regular hip-hop classes start when your child turns six years old. During these classes, your child will learn various street dance movements such as popping, locking, and breaking. We also encourage students to freestyle, which allows them to develop their technique.

At Velocity Dance Center, we provide an opportunity for you to learn hip-hop dance to enhance your flexibility, social & cognitive skills, and lower stress levels. Hip-hop dance is an exciting new way to get fit and have fun.

Hip-hop dance combines current sounds and movements in pop, rap, and R&B music and teaches movements inspired by influencers in the hip-hop community. Students will learn freestyle, locking, popping, and breaking moves. For young dancers, the class will focus on isolation, understanding different movements and patterns, and extensive motor skills.

In hip-hop classes at Velocity Dance Center, students learn from professional instructors who love to share their passion for dancing with others. We offer a wide range of classes for all ages, from toddlers to teens, so you can find something that suits your child’s age group. If you’re unable to decide what works best for your child, we can help you out. Our team will assist you in finding the perfect class for your child per your family’s schedule.

At Velocity Dance Center, we strive to make things easier for you. Costumes should be fine because we do not expect children to wear the proper dancewear during their trial class. We recommend you come in leggings, a t-shirt, or anything else that comforts you the most. Also, if you’re not willing to dance in shoes, you can come in barefoot for all classes. Why wait?
